Bar La Vie

We were engaged by hospitality dynamo, Kyra Wang, to develop a sophisticated name and compelling brandmark to effectively promote an exclusive Champagne Bar in Adelaide's iconic East End. Dedicated to serving quality Champagnes and sparkling wines from around the world, as well as supporting and showcasing local wine producers, it was essential the name captured this vibe and appeal to Champagne connoisseurs and bon vivants, both male and female ...hence Bar La Vie was born. A stylish yet approachable aesthetic was required that exuded both quality and a cheerful enjoyment of life! The name was inspired by the great French Matriarchs of Champagne which is fitting given its female-ownership. 

Our visual cues were based on an arbour theme to reinforce Bar La Vie's close proximity to the Adelaide Park Lands, as well as the surrounding heritage architecture which coincidentally reflected similar shapes and grid. This curved linear grid provided the perfect framework to develop a suite of attractive brandmarks to enhance the Bar La Vie experience across a range of applications - from social media, menus and signage. A classic serif font expresses quality and sophistication and the colour palette takes its cues from the brushed brass trim used internally.
