Palmer Sculpture Biennial Exhibition

Deep in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia exists the small hamlet of Palmer. Our client Greg Johns, an internationally renowned sculptor, visited a property in the area and immediately fell in love with its barren and basic forms. From his response/reaction to the landscape and supported by Gavin Malone, the Palmer Sculpture Biennial was born.

Sculptural artists ranging from emerging to established backgrounds are invited to exhibit.

Detour has been involved in the design of the exhibition catalogue for a number of years, whose main purpose is to reflect the calibre of artists involved in the project and their response to the landscape. Each page captures the unique and diverse approaches used by the artist to express their response to the amazing landscape.

800 copies are produced on a minimal and donated budget.
