Formerly S2 on Flinders - VON Thai marks an exciting new direction for Kyra and her team with an expanded food and wine offering. VON stands for Very Own Neighbourhood and builds on the strong community patronage and the sense of community through a commitment to supporting local producers and suppliers. VON Thai invites people to connect and interact in a welcoming space and share a beautiful meal from a dynamic, seasonally focussed menu. 

We developed a simple and minimalistic approach that takes it’s visual cues from the linear network of surrounding streets - the intersection of Thai culture and cuisine within the neighbourhood. These have been composed in a way to create dynamic letterforms of VON and provides direction, movement and a focal point that is representative of what VON Thai means...community is the focus, from supporting local suppliers to servicing the local neighbourhood. Branding is approachable yet classic with a simple, clear message that will deliver on its promise. Like a good neighbour, VON Thai is reliable and authentic - and the go-to eatery in the area.
